Random Elements in missions

I figure I might as well put a list of all the random elements in the missions that I am aware of.

First World Bank:
  • Manager Location (6+ possible locations)
  • Laptop Location (for "Erase Security Footage" task, 4 locations)
  • Ambush contents on Laptop (I've had a cloaker squad and a taser on my two runs so far)
  • Presence of Bank Guards in Vault Hallway (Frequently present) and inside vault (less likely)
  • Breaching of windows by SWAT (Window Licker)
  • Shutters above Drill Area may or may not be closed after getting cash
  • Presence of any special units in Second Building (right after C4)
  • Presence and exact location of Taser/Bulldozer/CLOAKER ambush in basement of second building/extraction point

Heat Street:
  • Cop cars at start (Frequently stops)
  • Cash in crashed getaway car's trunk
  • Garage/Fence ambushes
  • Indoor Route near lower Bridge area

Panic Room:
  • Location of Chavez (? Locations)
  • Various doors, most notably the 5th floor stairway door, can be open OR sealed for the entire mission.
  • Locations of the 12 stacks of cash ("Are There More Than 2?", 52 possible locations total)
  • The C4 bag may (rarely) drop in the back alley.

Green Bridge:
  • Convoy Truck Contents (including Escort Target)
  • Plane may pick up prisoner on first pass (usually a death sentence for the unprepared, but rarely happens)

Diamond Heist:
  • Starting Position (important for OVERKILL, I Pushed The Button And Lived)
  • Target Alarm boxes (3 are chosen out of all of them)
  • Vault Code working or not (almost always fails)
  • Location of CFO and Ralph (3[?] locations)
  • Length of time on the time-lock (if Garnet unlocks the vault, 0~3 minutes)
  • Availability of Large Diamond door (OVERKILL only, I Pushed The Button And Lived)
  • Bain's pickup location (changes every time he comes to get you)

Slaughterhouse:
  • Bulldozer in Gold Truck.
  • Some doors between the Main Room/Office and the rest of the building may be shut.


I do have to give kudos to Overkill for making sure that the missions have a little bit of subtle changes between playthroughs.

I'm fairly certain I've missed one or two (particularly for Slaughterhouse, the only one I'm not familiar with and haven't beaten [despite getting Diamond Heist: Don't Lose Face already]). If anyone knows of any more, feel free to reply.

In Diamond Heist, you could only need the CFO to make an exchange, however most of the time Garnet is all LOLNO and you need Ralphy.

in green bridge it is very rare that the plane picks up giant on the first run

In the First World Bank when you are making your get away and have to go across the main lobby sometimes you can just go up the stairs and it wont have barricades. It has only happen for me once though, not that I check it often.

You can open the trunk of the crashed get-away car that tried to pick you up to catch Matt, sometimes it has cash in it I've heard.

That reminds me in Panic Room you can find money bundles that are scattered about like in the room where you make the deal on a shelf there is sometimes a bundle of cash, there is even an achievement for finding 10.

Bank has the roller shutter upstairs that closes after you empty the vault, forcing you through the lobby to escape - the probability appears to be related to difficulty. Other "surprises" include some of the doors near the escape locating bursting open to reveal a bulldozer or taser - normally the former.


Panic Room - Alex will sometimes miss the drop on the roof and have the bag land on the front balcony on what i think is Floor 4. (Along with him derping around complaining you have to clear the roof when everyone has been dead for 3 minutes..)

Green Bridge also has the possibility of the pilot MISSING the pickup and having to swing around.

Diamond Heist has the starting location, alarm box locations, chance of the vault code working (which is apparently ~10% and determined on level load), chance for the sub-vault with the large diamond, locations of the CFO and Ralph, and the possibility that the CFO will give up the codes, skipping the need for Ralph.

Slaughterhouse has the orientation of the armored car, determined by if you shoot the driver during the ambush. It will be suspended for the drilling portion making it hard to access if you do not - and it will be hanging nose first by cables if you shoot it during the ambush (required for the achivement.) Blowing up the door to get to the safe inside also has a possibility of having a LIVE BULLDOZER FALL OUT

It also has the doors across from the office - sometimes one of the doors will be CLOSED, cutting off an access path to the main area.

Happened to me once on Overkill, I died before reaching the C4...
Almost forgot, the door on the first floor on Panic Room will sometimes be closed too
Also, some of the times when entering the apartment (Panic Room), you need to get to the left entrance or the right entrance..
In Diamond Heist I believe that both Ralph and CFO has two position.....

in panic room there are 52 different possible locations for the 12 money bundles

an overkill dev confirmed this, looks like that thread was deleted

In Diamond Heist for the time delay on the vault door I've seen:

-No delay, opens Immediately
-30 Seconds
-1 Minute
-3 Minutes!!

The delays depends on the CFO or Ralph.
CFO gives codes : instant access.
Garnet gives codes : timelock.

At heat street, cops car at start not a random event. If you manage to quickly open door and run to road, car will pass and stop at the end of road. If you will be rusty, car will stop in front of you, at begin of road.

i once opened it, nothing in there. then from just playing around nonsense (killing cops and civilans around) i walked back 2 mins later and then there was money in it! not kidding.

MORE! in heat street cops come out of random garage doors, and the building once you get on the freeway can be closed, forcing you in the open areas
