I'm considering buying this before the summer sale ends. How active is the multiplayer?

It's completely dead. I mean 100%. If you want multiplayer don't buy this game. I think it was worth it for the single player though. I also only paid $1 for it.

Yeah, its totally dead. Its still worth it for the SP campaign, which is pretty good if you can deal with some flaws like the terrible AI.
