Graphics problem with Steam games

Greetings!

Getting right to the point, I just formatted my cpu from Windows XP to Windows 7 about a week ago and noticed that all my Steam games are now unable to be played properly.

What I mean by that is that every single Steam 'powered' game now has either enormous fps/lag issues, to the point where they are unplayable, or the graphics are completely a mess.

I use an Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS, have ~2gigs of Ram, and am running 32-bit Windows 7.

To give an example of the graphical glitches that occur when trying to play Left for Dead 2:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/ITH/Sepia2.jpg

Now, I've updated all 8800 GTS drivers and Directx, multiple times by the way, so I've almost ruled those impossible to be the culprits behind this.

And it's funny, because it seems that only Steam games are affected by this. I play World of Warcraft and Starcraft 2 on a regular basis with absolutely no problems, plus no other media is glitching this way.

Sorry for this desperate question being my first and only post but I've looked everywhere and have really no where else to turn.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Seems like you have 3D mode enabled in your video card's settings. Try searching and turning off the 3D mode. IT wont be in game settings, It'll be in your video card's settings. Right click on your desktop and click on "Nvidia Control Panel". There should be a tab that says "Stereoscopic 3D". Click on that and uncheck the box that enables it. IF this is the problem. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Install your motherboard drivers, as well as your monitor drivers.

Have you disabled the 3D vision in your video card's control panel too?
Do you have the EXACT problem?
Any other details...?

Can I see a screenshot of your NVIDIA Control Panel?
Its very unlikely you 2 have the same card, same drivers, but not the same control panel S:
