Steam wallet cards are only available in America. I honestly think this is unfair. Me and my former friends who play steam don't have our own credit cards yet. we can only rely on getting wallet money from someone else(who has a credit card) or from the workshop(if your item passes that is). So i think steam should spread this and make it available in the UK, Canada and other countries.

I asked ebgames about this and they told it`ll arrive in Canadian stores about 4, 5 month after American release.

Yes, they need to be across America. But a credit card isn't your only option. If you have any bank account, there is paypal. There are also prepaid credit cards you can get from 7-11/Walmart/your preferred store. Besides, when they come to Canada, there will probably be a tax on them like every other gift certificate.

If its a credit card, there is usually a transaction fee removed from the card when its first used, but its no different then what you get with a normal credit card. There is also something else, you can go to a bank and get debit cards that can be used just like credit cards. They are connected directly to a bank account and can only use as much as whats in your account. You have to talk to your bank about it to set something like that up. I'm looking at doing this myself as I dislike credit cards. |

I'll believe this when I see it. I don't doubt you, I doubt the person from ebgames who made the claim. The people who work at ebgames don't know their head from their rear end. There's no communication between ebgames/gamestop US and ebgames/gamestop Canada. The Canadian shops are managed so poorly.

They could gain so much by having EU cards as well. You know, we have Gamestop too (for better or worse...), and having them sold wherever a store shows interest, like PSN cards or Xbox Live would be a winning situation indeed.

just go buy a prepaid visa card end of story, you won't pay tax for it in Canada with the wallet card you will pay tax when they get them.

Out of curiosity.
Do Canadian EB/GS users see the new Diablo 3 'digital download' cards? If so then maybe Staem Wallet in Canada is possible 'in theory'. |

I haven't seen any digital download cards for anything to be honest. At EB Games you can purchase PSN goods from a book that they have, but nothing else.
