1C games on sale for $5. Buy one + get one as well! Is Assault Squad GOTY worth it?

So Amazon is having a $5 dollar sale on 1C games. Not only that, but they also have a buy one get one free promotion going, which means it's two 1C games for just $5 bucks.

Before I go on a buying spree, is Men of War Assault Squad game of the year worth it or should I go for some other games instead?

I have NEVER ever played any Men of War games. Should I start out with something else?

Yes, Assault Squad is definitely worth it - best of the MoW series. If you are into turn-based games, the King's Bounty: Platinum Edition is pretty good. Man, my coffee today costs more than these games...lol

No you can't.

The only games you can activate on Steam, are those listed on this page and Steamwork titles.

I ended up buying the game along with Planet Alcatraz, Farewell to Dragons, King's Bounty Platinum, Dawn of Magic 2 and Death to Spies. None of them activate on Steam, but $15 for 6 games was too good to pass up.

Hell, Planet Alcatraz is so horribly awesome that I would have been happy paying $15 for it alone. I spent about 3 hours laughing at the game so far. It's like an MSTK movie having a baby with a Fallout game.

The DLC packs from Amazon will help you download an installer file and this file requires MoW installing in your computer (not on the Steam folder).

However, I tried to buy the GOTY version, then downloaded and installed it inside my computer. After that, I copied all the files from the new folder and paste them into the MoW AS on Steam folder and I get all the things from the DLCs when I enter the game from Steam.

Thanks for the info, i bought Assault Squad Goty Edition and Vietnam, both for 5 bucks, the only problem: the keys are not Steam reedemable

Yeah, but honestly do you really care all that much? You got two games for $5 total. I got 6 for $15 (that would have cost me over $100 on Steam).

Not registering them on Steam is honestly not a huge loss for me. I would rather spend less money, but then again I am super cheap and only buy games on sale.
Now I have countless of hours of gaming to look forward to and it only ran me $15.

Vietnam is one of the few games that I did not buy, although I may since I like Assault Squad quite a bit. I tried to register every game I bought during this sale on Steam and could not do it.
