MLB 2K12 in the UK
Hello everyone,
Does anyone know when MLB 2k12 will be released on Steam in the UK? Or if there are any other digital distribution services from which I can purchase the game? Thanks! |

Hi,
It's pretty frustrating being a baseball fan in Europe. My first PC game was Hardball 5 iirc. Then there was the EA series, High Heat and now MLB2k. Some years you could buy them here, other years not. I bought MLB2k11 on Amazon.de, some weeks later it was on Steam for one day. It's odd that after MLB2k10, only US people can get the game on Steam. I've been checking US sites to buy it, but shipping costs are ridiculously high. I'll just have to wait and play 2k11 in the mean time, tough, being a Marlins fan to still have to play in ugly Pro Player stadium ![]() Gilles |

Yep this kind of things sucks, but it's usually due to the publisher having to wait for games to go through the ratings process in each territory, so they go with US first since it's the biggest (primary) market - and sometimes they just don't bother if they feel its' not economically viable to do so.
Speaking as a NZer, this is true for example in games like Gta San Andreas, or Smackdown VS Raw 2010 - both games available on US market, but not here. |

Found an example through google relating to ESRB costs:
$2,500 per title (per system too of course), but they cut that rate to $800 for games under $250000 development cost.. gulp. |
