As this is a console port I can understand there being none. However what there is, is it done through GFWL or what? Most of the time the quality has been terrible, which makes it a distraction rather than any help.
There being no other way to communicate makes the train cannon level somewhat tedious... |

As Vivid said it is controlled via the GFWL Guide. (he showed you the navigation). Also GFWL works on voice activation so you don't have to bother pressing a key every time you want to speak. A wide variety of microphones and headsets are compatible with GFWL and you can even use an Xbox LIVE headset plugged into your Xbox 360 controller.
